## The Overseas Expansion of Japanese Franchises, Beginning in 2010

The first brands to expand overseas were Saint Marc Café and Bariuma Ramen, which launched in Singapore. From there, the expansion first reached ASEAN, then East Asia, and finally Oceania.  
Next, it spread to the Middle East and North America, and following the COVID-19 pandemic, it began to expand into Europe and Africa.
