A new self-service Laundromat business franchise will be launched from Mozambique in November 1st 2024.
This business model will be realized through collaboration with a Japanese laundromat business.

The Beginning
This story began with the wish of a student from Mozambique.
When he came to Japan, he saw self-service laundries everywhere, and he decided that he wanted to bring this back to his home country. He participated in an internship at Assentia Holdings, and then returned home after establishing a franchise business model for self-service laundries.

この話は一名のモザンビークからの留学生の願いからスタートしました。
彼は来日し、あちこちにセルフサービスランドリーがあるのを見て、「これを母国に持ち帰りたい」と決意し、Assentia Holdingsのインターンシップに参加し、セルフサービスランドリーのフランチャイズビジネスモデルを構築して、帰国しました。
幸運な出会い
Assentia Holdingsは、ランドリーを経営しているわけではありませんが、顧客の中にはランドリー経営をしている会社がありました。その１社のTATEISHI CorporationのTATEISHI社長が、彼の願いを聞いてくれました。
TATEISHI社長は、自らが経営するランドリーで、ランドリー経営を教えてくれ、更に中古マシンを扱う会社を紹介してくれました。コンテナランドリーを発見したのも、中古マシン会社の倉庫でのことでした。
A fortunate encounter
Although Assentia Holdings does not operate a laundry, one of our customers did. The president of Tateishi Corporation, one of our customers, listened to HIS request.
The president of Tateishi Corporation taught us about laundry management at the laundry he operated, and also introduced us to a company that dealt in used machines. It was also at the warehouse of the used machine company that HE discovered container laundries.
一号店はコンテナで
コンテナランドリーを最初の出店としたのには理由があります。
それは、現地の建設工事の納期や品質が分からなかったからです。コンテナであれば、店舗の躯体は出来上がっているのです。
しかし、実際にMozambiqueで１店舗の立ち上げを経験した結果、私たちは、次からはコンテナの必要はないと判断しました。それは町のあちこちに、既存建物に空き店舗が点在していたからです。次からは空き店舗を探す方針とします。
The first store was a container
There was a reason why we chose to open our first store as a container laundry.
This was because we didn't know the delivery date or quality of the local construction work. With a container, the framework of the store is already in place.
However, after actually experiencing the process of setting up a store in Mozambique, we decided that we would not need to use a container again. This was because there were empty stores scattered around the town in existing buildings. From now on, we will look for empty stores.
