TAMARI-YA
Who we are
田万里家TAMARIYA Rice Donut was born in a farming area with rice fields in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan.
“田” stands for rice fields,
“万” is a word meaning a lot.
“里” means a village where people live.
“家” means HOME.
This new donut store was born in a land historically rich in rice paddies and blessed with a large harvest every fall.
In Japan, urbanization is progressing and more and more young people are moving to the cities. In the farming areas, the parents are getting older and older, and IMOCCHI, the owner of TAMARI-YA, decides to return to his grandparents' land, TAMARI (for reasons that are too short to discuss here).
Imocchi returns to TAMARI with many young people in tow, in order to start two new businesses in TAMARI. One of them is Rice Donuts.
How we work
Franchise Information
It is not easy to make donuts with rice-flour. We encourage you to try making donuts with rice-flour donuts that you can procure in your own country. You will not be able to make delicious ones.
To make rice-flour donuts, you need high-quality rice-flour production equipment. Unlike wheat, rice is so delicate that even the slightest flaw in the milling process can affect the properties of the rice flour.
Therefore, TAMARI-YA exports Japanese rice flour, which is then used to make rice-flour donuts at local stores.
Unlike wheat flour, there is no fermentation time, so production time is short.
